About Buffalo Airport Shuttle — Licensed, Authorised, and Trusted for Over Twenty Years

Some companies tell you they’re reliable. We have twenty years of cross-border trips, two government licences, and an airport authorisation that says it for us.

Buffalo Airport Shuttle has been running private ground transportation between southern Ontario and Buffalo Niagara International Airport since the early 2000s. What started as a focused cross-border transfer service has grown into one of the most established private shuttle operations in the region — built on a simple standard that hasn’t changed since the first booking. Show up on time. Charge what you quoted. Get the passenger there safely.About-Buffalo-Airport-Shuttle

Over two decades, that standard has produced more than 90,000 completed cross-border trips. It has earned us operating licences from both the Ministry of Transportation Ontario and the United States Department of Transportation. And it has resulted in something very few ground transportation companies in this corridor can claim — formal authorisation from Buffalo Niagara International Airport to pick up and drop off passengers on airport grounds.

Those aren’t marketing claims. They are documented credentials that protect every passenger who books with us.

Twenty Years of Cross-Border Shuttle Service Operations

Longevity in ground transportation isn’t accidental. Companies that cut corners on driver standards, vehicle maintenance, or pricing transparency don’t last two decades in a market where passengers talk to each other and reputations travel fast.

Buffalo Airport Shuttle has operated continuously since the early 2000s — through border policy changes, infrastructure shifts, and the kind of operational challenges that test whether a service is genuinely built to last. Every year of that operation has added route knowledge, border crossing experience, and procedural depth that a newer company simply cannot replicate.

90,000 Cross-Border Trips Completed

Ninety thousand trips across the Peace Bridge at Fort Erie. Behind every one of those trips was a passenger who trusted us with their travel day — an early departure morning, a confirmed rate, and a driver who showed up. On the return side, that same driver tracked a flight in real time, adjusted to actual landing conditions, and delivered the passenger home.

That number represents more than volume. It represents a consistency of operation across early morning departures, late night arrivals, busy summer long weekends, and the kind of unpredictable border conditions that test whether a service has genuine depth or just good marketing. We have run this route through all of it — and the accumulated knowledge of those trips is built into how every booking is planned and executed today.

Our Credentials — Licensed Airport Shuttle on Both Sides of the Border

Cross-border ground transportation between Canada and the United States operates under a specific regulatory framework. Not every company offering airport transfers holds the licences required to operate legally on both sides of the Peace Bridge. We do.

Licensed by the Ministry of Transportation Ontario

Buffalo Airport Shuttle holds a valid operating licence issued by the Ministry of Transportation Ontario. This licence confirms that our operation meets the regulatory standards required for commercial passenger transportation in the province — covering driver qualifications, vehicle standards, insurance requirements, and operational compliance.

Licensed by the United States Department of Transportation

Operating commercially in the United States requires a separate federal authorisation from the U.S. Department of Transportation. Buffalo Airport Shuttle holds a valid U.S. DOT licence — a credential that confirms our legal authority to transport passengers on American soil and that subjects our operation to federal safety and compliance standards.

Together these two licences cover the full cross-border route our passengers travel. From the moment your driver picks you up in Ontario to the moment the vehicle pulls into Buffalo Niagara International Airport, every kilometre of that trip is covered by a properly licensed operator.

Authorised Shuttle Service by Buffalo Niagara International Airport

Perhaps the most significant credential we hold is our formal authorisation from Buffalo Niagara International Airport to pick up and drop off passengers on airport grounds.

BUF does not grant this authorisation to every company that claims to offer airport transfers. The airport maintains standards for the ground transportation operators permitted to access its passenger areas — and meeting those standards requires documented compliance with airport regulations, insurance requirements, and operational protocols. Buffalo Airport Shuttle has met those standards and holds the authorisation that confirms it.

For passengers, this matters in a practical and immediate way. An unauthorised vehicle picking up at BUF operates outside the airport’s permitted framework — creating potential complications at the very moment a passenger needs the transfer to work cleanly. Our authorisation removes that risk entirely.

Driver Standards — The Foundation of Every Trip

A licence and an airport authorisation mean very little if the driver behind the wheel doesn’t meet the standard those credentials represent. Driver quality is where ground transportation services actually separate themselves — and it’s where we invest the most.

Hiring and Verification

Every driver we employ goes through a thorough vetting process before their first passenger booking. That process includes criminal background checks, driving record reviews, and medical clearances. These are not one-time checks completed at hiring and forgotten afterward. We conduct ongoing verification across our driver team to ensure the standards that were met at hiring are maintained throughout every driver’s tenure with us.

Cross-Border Experience as a Requirement

The Peace Bridge crossing at Fort Erie has its own rhythms, its own documentation requirements, and its own peak-period behaviour that experienced drivers navigate differently than those making the crossing for the first time. We do not assign first-time border drivers to passenger bookings. Every driver in our network has completed the cross-border route as part of their training and has accumulated the crossing experience that makes a departure morning run smoothly rather than anxiously.

Professional Conduct and Passenger Care

Our passengers represent a wide range of travel profiles — corporate executives on tight schedules, families with young children, retirees heading south for extended stays, students travelling internationally for the first time. Every one of them receives the same standard of professional, courteous service. Punctuality, presentation, and passenger comfort are not optional on any booking.

Fleet Standards — Maintained to Perform When It Matters

Vehicle reliability is non-negotiable on a cross-border airport transfer. A mechanical issue on a departure morning is not an inconvenience — it is a missed flight. Our fleet maintenance schedule is designed with that consequence in mind.

Every vehicle in our fleet undergoes regular servicing and inspection on a schedule that prioritises preventive maintenance over reactive repair. Vehicles that do not meet our operational standard are removed from active bookings until they do. We do not operate vehicles that carry unresolved maintenance concerns.

Our fleet includes sedans, SUVs, and passenger vans — matched to each booking based on passenger count, luggage volume, and trip requirements. The right vehicle for each trip is confirmed at the time of booking, not assigned as a default.

How We Handle Every Booking

Every reservation is handled directly — by a person, not an automated system. When you call or email to book, you speak with someone who collects your travel details, confirms your vehicle, and provides your flat rate before the conversation ends. That rate is fixed. It does not change between booking and drop-off regardless of traffic, border conditions, or time of day.

Departure bookings require your pickup address, travel date, flight details, passenger count, and luggage information. Return bookings require your arrival flight number — we track that flight in real time and adjust the pickup window based on actual landing time.

Most passengers book both legs of their trip at the time of the original reservation. It guarantees return availability and means ground transportation is handled before the trip begins rather than organised from a hotel lobby mid-travel.
